Unit 1 The secrets of happiness Understanding ideas 试讲逐字稿
Good morning, dear judges! I'm [no.1], and I'm honored to present my teaching
demonstration. Now, let's embark on this exciting English - learning journey.
I. Warm - up
Good morning, boys and girls. How are you today Fine, great, not bad Wow, I’m
pretty well. Thanks for your asking. Now are you ready for our English travel Good.
Let's begin our class with an interesting warm - up. Look at the picture on the screen.
It shows a group of people laughing heartily, and there's also a family enjoying
quality time together. Now, I want you to think and tell me, "What do you think
makes this person/group happy?" The boy in the front row, raise your hand and
share your idea.
Student: Maybe they are happy because they are spending time with their loved
ones.
Teacher: That's a great thought! Spending time with loved ones often brings a lot of
happiness. And what about you, the girl with pigtails?
Student: They might be sharing funny stories, and that makes them laugh and feel
happy.
Teacher: Wonderful imagination! Now, let's think about another question: "What
makes you happy?" The boy in the blue shirt, would you like to share?
Student: I feel happy when I play soccer.
Teacher: Soccer is so much fun! It's great that you can find happiness in playing it. I'll
write down your answers on the board. These answers are really wonderful, and
they help us start our exploration of personal happiness.
II. Vocabulary Introduction
Now, it's time to learn some new vocabulary related to happiness. Look at these
flashcards. Here's a smiling face, and the word is "happy". Repeat after me, "happy".
Students: Happy.
Teacher: Great! And this is a gift, which represents "lucky". Repeat, "lucky".
Students: Lucky.
Teacher: Now, let's focus on some a bit more challenging words, like "content". Pay
attention to the pronunciation. Repeat, "content".
Students: Content.
Teacher: Good. Now, work in pairs. Come up with your own sentences using these
new words. For example, you can ask each other, "What makes you feel happy?" or
"What makes you feel excited?" Start now.

Teacher: Excellent! You both used the vocabulary very well.
III. Reading Comprehension

happiness. Listen carefully as I read it aloud.
(Read the passage)
Now, I have some questions for you. First, "What makes many people happy,
according to the passage?" The girl in the yellow T - shirt.
Student: Many people find happiness in spending time with their family or friends.
Teacher: Right! And the second question, "What are some things that bring
happiness to people?" The boy with glasses.
Student: Hobbies like reading, playing sports, or listening to music can bring
happiness.
Teacher: Exactly! Now, the third question, "What makes you happy?" Think of your
own personal examples. The boy in the back row.
Student: Playing the guitar makes me happy.
Teacher: That's awesome! Now, pair up and discuss your answers.
(After a while)
Let's share some of your discussions. The two students over there.
(Assume the students are sharing)
Teacher: Great discussions! You really understood the passage well.
IV. Speaking Practice

two questions: "What is your idea of happiness?" and "How do you feel when you do
something you enjoy?" Remember to use the sentence structures we learned, like "I
feel [adjective] when [situation]" and "It makes me happy to [verb]." Start now.
(After a while)
Okay, stop here. Who wants to share your ideas? The two students in the middle.
(Assume the students are sharing)
